This is one of those extremely exotic but forgotten visionary plants that we hope will regain its important place in a Shaman's medicine cabinet. This versatile herb can calm the mind when made into a light tea. It's also been used to help with lucid dreaming and to induce dream states by burning it as an incense, just as Himalayan shamans have for a great number of years. In fact, in the Himalayas, the herb is typically ground to a coarse powder with dried leaves of basil, Bel fruit (most commonly used for maintaining calmness) or flowers of lotus, jasmine and safflower and smoked in a pipe to induce states of deep visualization for their medicine and visionary work.
